Once at the restaurant, she was really good. She doesn't want to sit in a high chair anymore and she didn't want to sit in the booster so, my big girl sat right next to me in the booth. She played with the creamers, sugars and butter packets. After breakfast, Daddy took her outside and I cleaned up the disaster she left behind. We had an hour to burn before the store we wanted to go to opened so we burned some time by walking around the shopping center. M got a little excited and tripped over her feet. She tried to break her fall but was going so fast, her head tipped forward and she caught the bricks with her face. She cried a little but got over it with a big hug and a little bit of time. She has a runny nose right now so cleaning her nose and not rubbing her lip has been tough.
Sad first fat lip
A couple of car naps during our morning chores helped ease some of the pain.
After her real nap time, we spent the afternoon baking cookies! This was our first attempt at baking together. She stood in her learning tower, eating her snack while I got the cookie things ready. She watched me put white and brown sugar into a bowl. Instead of just dumping the sugar directly into the bowl like I normally would, I used a spoon to move it from the bowl to the mixer. She watched me the whole time. After I stirred up the butter, sugars and eggs, I put flour, baking soda and salt into the bowl I had used for sugar. I scooted her snack over a little and gave her the bowl of flour. She grabbed the tablespoon and started scooping and dumping just like I had. It was so much fun to watch her little mind work.

You have to taste it to make sure it's edible
I love how she holds her hand under the spoon, just like I do.
After fun baking time and a sad dinnertime where she didn't want to eat, we let her watch a few minutes of Bubble Guppies before bed.
After her bedtime, we ate the cookies.
Finally, the day after the face plant:
