**I wrote a few posts over the past few months. These are to catch you up on where I've been.**
On Saturday, I passed the 6 week marker. This week brought with it some interesting new feelings. I had a scary moment where I had some spotting show up. I freaked out and texted one of my scrappy friends who knows I'm pregnant. She asked me a few questions and then decided that I was going to be OK. She then told me to take it easy. I responded by telling her that I was at the outlets and about a mile from the car. She wrote back to tell me to get the hell out of the outlet mall right now before I get more stressed out. :) Once we got home, I was still worried so I spent the rest of the day in bed. I got up on Sunday and felt much better. I didn't have any major cramping or sharp pains so I didn't feel the need to call my OB - and be "that" patient.
This past week brought the joy of bloating. Hops and I had a lot of after work activities this week and I think they really wore me out. Wednesday I was sitting at a class and felt like my stomach was trying to push out of my skin. I also looked much fatter that day. I have definitely got some bloat that won't go away now in the lower belly. I look like I usually do for that one really bad day of my period. I just can't wait to actually start showing instead of just not fitting into my favorite jeans! By Thursday, the bloat was down a bit but I came home and slept from 6pm until Friday at 6am. I'm hoping that exhaustion isn't here to stay.
Other than the bloat, I have been feeling pretty good. I can't eat a lot in one sitting, but I can still eat. This weekend I have had a few moments of nausea, but nothing serious. I am hoping that keeps up.
Haha....focus was on the wrong thing. :) Look at that bloat. Sheesh. It was amazing how much it went up and down through the first trimester.
----------------------------------------------------------------
How far along?: 6 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0
The Bump: Bloat. Bloat, bloat bloat. Just call me fat right now. Stretch pants are my best friend.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Same as last week: Looking forward to our first prenatal visit on October 26th. Hoping I will continue to feel as well as I did last week!
Maternity Clothes: Well, I bought a belly band so I can wear my work pants that are getting a little uncomfortable. My bigger jeans and pants are still fitting ok. I do love my comfy pants right now, though.
Symptoms: Continued mild stretching cramps. My boobs hurt like nobody's business. Sleeping has become challenging considering I'm a belly sleeper. I'm now quite good at placing 3 pillows for sleeping - one at head, one at chest and one between th legs.
Belly Button in or out?: In.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Aversions: These come and go. Last night we went out for steak for our anniversary and this morning the last thing I want to do is eat that leftover steak. Cravings: chocolate milkshakes. Ha!
Milestones: Six weeks.
