Week 15 was just another week in the life. Neither of us took time off for Christmas, so we worked Monday through Friday and enjoyed doing nothing the entire Christmas weekend. We had big plans for Saturday. We were going to go to Christmas Eve service, then we were going to drive around and look at Christmas lights. Unfortunately, my head had other ideas. I came down with a headache on Friday evening and it went away after my third nap on Monday afternoon. We didn't go to service (GAH), we didn't see lights and we didn't even leave the house except to pick up a few essentials on Saturday. I spent the entire weekend either on the couch or in bed. I did get up to make meals, though.
We had french toast with fruit and fruit smoothies for breakfast on Christmas morning.
We opened presents and then spent some time playing with them. Hops set up his gift - this thingamabob that turns your computer into a DVR, while I played with my present, a tripod AND remote for my camera!
After all the gift giving and opening was done, we watched movies all morning and afternoon. We watched Elf, which Hops declared a fantastic Christmas movie. We also watched The Town and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I think we threw a few episodes of NCIS in there, as well. I did not say we watched all Christmas movies. :)
For dinner, I made sushi. I am no expert at this and our rolls were defintely not the quality you get at your local sushi restaurant but you can never go wrong with the combination of seaweed, rice and fillers. I made shrimp tempura rolls, avocado rolls and california rolls. See picture above? I should have remembered that I owned a tripod when I took these pictures that evening, after the sun went down.
I didn't realize how awful the photos of my sushi were until I pulled them up today to blog about them. Oops. Either way - they were delicious!!
After dinner, we ate some dairy free cookies (darn allergies) and watched some football. I spent all of Monday morning on the couch and all of Monday afternoon in bed. Thankfully by Tuesday morning, I felt normal again.

How far along?: 15 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Gained 5 pounds!
The Bump: Getting bigger....This picture is a bit odd, makes me look like I have a huge butt, which I don't. You can definitely see some more bump progression. I promise I don't normally wear leggings with tee-shirts. I wasn't feeling well and this felt good to lay around the house in.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: In a couple of weeks, we get to learn our baby's gender.
Maternity Clothes: I broke down and bought those maternity jeans. I found a pair at Target by Motherhood that are fantastic. They are long enough - they reach the floor when I'm not wearing shoes - and they fit well. They're a dark blue wash so they look like my everyday pre-pregnancy jeans. Thank you, Target!
Symptoms: Other than some headaches, I've been doing pretty well.
Belly Button in or out?: In.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Sweets - candies or cookies.
Milestones: Nothing major this week.
