"Your baby is the size of a lemon."

This week was as uneventful as week 13 and I'm so thankful for that! We went to Mom and Dad's house for our family Christmas last weekend. Mom and Dad live in Southport, NC, one of my favorite places to visit. They live in a community of mostly young retired folk. We can't wait until our child can enjoy all of the amenities their neighborhood has to offer. I think he or she will actually enjoy going to Grandma and Grandpa's house - it means going to the beach!! We had Christmas morning on Sunday and enjoyed spending the weekend with them.
Now that the energy is back, I'm really excited to get started on some work around the house. I have looked at what will one day be our nursery and decided to just shut that door again until we get at least to the halfway mark. We have two rooms that will be baby or child-centered - a bedroom and the loft at the top of our stairs. Both are large rooms and plenty big enough for one child to find lots of things to get in trouble with.
Warning: Photos of rooms even our family doesn't get to see (since they're upstairs and the guest room is downstairs) ahead. You have been forewarned.
Loft
To be removed: boxes, entertainment cabinet, table.
Nursery
(sure looks like one right now, doesn't it)??
To be removed: everything except the few baby items we have already been gifted that are on the bed. This includes the smudge of brown on the far right corner of the room, the entertainment cabinet.
Currently these rooms are also being used as storage for our Christmas boxes and tubs. Our storage area consists of a scuttle hole attic with a 10x10 floor to store everything. We have to use a ladder to get up there because there is no drop down ladder to allow us access. Also, it's in our laundry room. There can't be anything on the floor if we want to go up. It's just a struggle to try to store things up there. It frustrates me, too because we have this big house and no where to store decorations, winter coats, winter/summer clothes, depending on the season. Due to that and other reasons, we decided to add a shed to our property. That is where all of our decorations will go in the future. For now, they are stored in our unused rooms.I'm looking forward to transforming the loft and nursery to the rooms we want them to be, it will just take some time. We haven't discussed decorating the nursery, yet. We have a general idea but both of us really want to wait until we know what we're having before we make any big decisions on decorations. We also want to make some changes to the loft to make it more child-friendly with access to books, toys and comfy places to sit.

How far along?: 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure - I'm going to the OB this week and will find out where I am.
The Bump: Getting bigger. Still not a true bump when sitting but definitely bumpish when standing.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: OB appointment on Wednesday and hearing that heartbeat again. This time we're going to record it and send it to the Grandparents. We think they will get the biggest kick out of that.
Maternity Clothes: Same as week 13. I do need to get a pair of maternity jeans, though. I haven't enjoyed shopping for maternity clothes, so it's been a struggle.
Symptoms: Not much. I'm hungry every two hours unless I eat a big meal for lunch, then I normally go about 4 hours before I'm hungry again. This is definitely different, I can sometimes go 6-7 hours without eating when not pregnant.
Belly Button in or out?: In.
Food Cravings/Aversions: None that I can think of right now.
Milestones: The baby is the size of a lemon. Haha.
Also: Outtakes. I'm responding to my photographer's prompts.
"Stick your belly out"
"You're not smiling. SMILE!"
