Luckily, this week some of my mojo came back. I have been motivated to work on some craft projects so I could send some homemade items to my brother, sister-in-law and nephew and to my Gram. I put together a scrapbook for my nephew and a bunch of cards for Gram.
The scrapbook is 8x8 and I used mostly Close To My Heart papers. All of the embellishments came from Michaels - mostly the Jolee collection. Every page can fit one 4x6 photo. I also finished a back page that has a lot of space for journaling so they can write down his birth date, weight and other specifics they may want to keep track of. I wish I could have filled it up with pictures for them but the only pictures they send to us are iphone photos which are not big enough to print out, unfortunately. I'm sending her a Tombow tape runner to adhere the photos to the pages. I just hope they fill it up with photos!!!
I'm so happy with it. I came up with all of the layouts myself one night while we were watching Hangover 2. I think I might reuse those ideas when I come up with a book for our own little one.
As for my Grams gifts, she is always telling me how much she loves the cards that I send her. The last time I spoke to her, she told me that she cuts off the front of the card and sends it like a post card to her friends if I don't write on it!! I decided enough was enough - she needs some cards of her own to send out. I made 2 of every card below, as well as two more I did not take pictures of. I think she will love them. Gram doesn't get around as easily as she used to, so I'm also going to send her enough stamps to send all of these cards.
I packed these cards up in clear card boxes I got from clearbags.com. I purchased these a long time ago for a craft show I participated in. Now I just use them when I make card sets for family or friends. I can fit 8-10 in each box and then wrap the boxes separately for Christmas.

Just two dogs and they never want to walk in the same direction at once. Also a peek at my first maternity shirt. I was told tunics would be my best friend. Oh, they were so right. It's from Kohls and I now have two because they are so comfortable - and warm!
How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Lost 1lb
The bump: It's getting bigger and we're getting more excited now that my body is changing as proof that I'm pregnant!
What I'm excited about/looking forward to: Making it to the second trimester and enjoying it!
Maternity Clothes: 2 pairs of pants, 2 tunics. I'm wearing some long sleeve t-shirts from Kohl's and my non-maternity leggings. I'm also wearing my size 8 jeans unbuttoned with a belly band.
Symptoms: I had some fun bubbling in my belly earlier this week!
Food Cravings/Aversions: No major cravings or aversions. I find that chocolate is giving me a headache so I'm trying not to eat so much of that right now.
Belly Button: in or out? In. We were looking at it this week and both think it will stay in. We shall see, though...
Milestones: Belly growth.
