Have you heard of any of the cookie swaps going on throughout blogland this season? I joined up with The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap of 2011 this year. It was hosted by Love and Olive Oil and The Little Kitchen. I figure it is probably the last time I'll be able to do something like this for a while so, why not!? I pulled a recipe from my recipe box that I received at my wedding shower in 2010. These cookies are easy and delicious - the perfect recipe for a swap when you're short on time.
Tuxedo Brownie Hugs Cookies
Makes: 5 dozen cookies
1 pkg Betty Crocker Original Supreme Brownie Mix with Syrup Packet
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup baking cocoa
2 eggs
60 unwrapped Hershey's Hugs
Using a spoon, mix together the brownie mix, oil, water, cocoa and eggs until well blended.
Line cookie sheets with parchment or grease your cookie sheets.
Drop mixture by scant teaspoons onto the cookie sheets. *Note: I used the small Pampered Chef scoop and filled it just 3/4 full. This seemed to work well but I did not get a full 5 dozen as the recipe states.
Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheets.
Place one Hershey's Hugs into the center of each cookie. Let sit for 5 minutes and transfer to a cooling rack.
I hope my three recipients enjoyed them!!
