Take a slice of your favorite hearty bread. This was a bolle from my supermarket. I will eat avocado on pretty much any type of bread, though. Stick your bread in the toaster or toaster oven.
Meanwhile...grab a lime (or the lime juice dispenser that is shaped like a lime if you're cheap like I am). Get some salt and an avocado. Slice the avocado in half, put the other half in a baggie to use tomorrow. Toast the bread up to however brown you like it.
Spoon about 1/3 of the avocado (a little over half of a half) onto your toast. Sprinkle with a little salt and squeeze some lime juice on top. It's a great way to start the day, plus it's quick and easy.
Yesterday morning both Hops and I were off of work. I was slicing the bread and cut a slice for him. I made mine with the avocado and asked if he would like to try some. He will usually try anything once as long as I tell him it is good. He took a taste and instead of jelly, he decided he wanted avocado toast, as well. :)
What's your favorite non-traditional breakfast food?

I love, love, love avocado on toast. Definitely with salt.
My breakfasts are often non traditional. Sometimes a salad, or crackers and hummus.
This looks really delicious...and cereal doesn't always keep me full in the morning. I hear ya/
